The Phatnotes is a very resourceful app. The version 1.4 brings with it more colors, more unique icons and many other features. You can now easily make notes through the handwriting recognizer, which is quite fun to play with.

Here are some of the helpful features:

Icons: There are variety of icons you can allot to your folders and notes which are awesome. These are very likeable and eye-catchy.

Translation: You can translate your notes to various languages like Japanese, Chinese, Italian, etc.

Various Modes: There are three modes- one in which you can just scroll down and view your notes; other is the QWERTY keyboard. Another is the handwriting recognizer, which has a variety of options- you can go in for separate letter or choose word identification as per your choice.

Organize: Organize your notes through folders, categories, colors, icons, date, priority, etc.

Exchange notes: You have the option of transferring multiple notes through Wifi to another iPod.

Authorization:  Protect your important notes by setting up passwords.

Location: Add your location to the notes by tapping your location on the map.

Others: Attach hyperlinks to notes, alter the dictionary, spell check, auto-corrector, insert Contacts into your database, export/import files, filter your text by using the Search option and many other features.

The app is quite interesting giving you various alternatives for each of its features. It is proficient for those who like keeping themselves organized.
