In most cases, every carrier in the U.S. and other countries are probably looking to acquire the opportunity to carry out Apple’s iPhone 4S in their line of smartphones. But surprisingly, the 6th largest wireless carrier in the U.S. has eventually rejected the chance in bringing the iPhone 4S.

U.S. Cellular CEO Mary Dillion said in the company’s third quarter earnings conference call that they turned down iPhone because it did not make sense for the company economically. She revealed that the U.S. Cellular had the opportunity to carry out iPhone but Apple’s “terms were unacceptable from a risk and profitability standpoint.” Another factor includes being the potential strain in the company’s network it will add to the decision although it still hopes to carry the iPhone in the future.

Before the U.S. Cellular announced the turned down, another company in Czech Republic also announced that they are dropping the iPhone in their line of smartphones after it was unable to come up a deal with Apple’s iPhone 4S. The company stated that the Apple’s “business terms” was the main reason for the discontinuation. Basically it almost coincides with the U.S. Cellular’s decision in turning down iPhone.

Meanwhile, Sprint had a $20 Billion deal with Apple to acquire the partnership for carrying out iPhone 4S and it is said to be until the year 2014.

On the October 4th iPhone event entitled “Let’s Talk iPhone” held by Apple in their Cupertino Headquarters, newly appointed CEO Tim Cook announced that the iOS 5 will be available after 1 week and the iPhone 4S will start shipping in the 14th of October. Now, the iOS 5 is ready for public downloads to everyone who wish to update their iDevices through iTunes.

A day before the official iOS 5 was launched; Apple’s www.iCloud.com was live ahead of time to give way for the latest operating system. The iOS 5 is necessary in order to use the wireless syncing of your iDevice and backup service at the same time enjoying the iCloud service that will soon replace MobileME for added security of your iDevices.

As of this time, only tethered jailbreak is available for the iOS 5. This means that you need to re-jailbreak every time you’ll reboot your iPhone, which is not the ideal type we are looking of. But it is great to immediately upgrade to the iOS 5 when you are not so very dependent on the jailbreak apps so you can now experience the latest improvements brought by the new iOS 5. New features include the new Notifications Center which is totally different from the iOS 4. This comes with a slick pull-down list of pending notifications and the other lockscreen notification which is very similar with the popular jailbreak tweak called “LockInfo.”

Here is a video that will take you to the great features of the iOS 5.

Finally, the much awaited event from Apple was finally over. Some are happy but others are disappointed due to the fact that there is no iPhone 5, not this year. Why is that happening? Only Apple has the answer.

As some had predicted, Apple has just launched the iPhone 4S. Although the physical appearance of the iPhone 4S is exactly the same with the iPhone 4, the improvement of what is inside make a lot of difference. Apple has made the iPhone 4S from some of the existing iPhone 4 parts like the aluminum casing and others.

First and foremost, the iPhone 4S brings out the iPad 2’s A5 Dual Core Processor. This provides to double the CPU speeds and dual core graphics that will result in up to 7X faster graphics that will work perfectly for high-resolution games.

As the current iPhone 4 users observation about the battery life, iPhone 4S has improved its battery even adding more features. The talktime is now up to 8 hours, 9 hours for WiFi browsing and 6 hours of 3G browsing.

The iPhone 4S antenna has been also improved to compete with some 4G capable smartphones in the market. Although it is still a 3G capable phone, it can download up to 14.4Mbps and 5.8Mbps in uploads just like the HTC Inspire 4G and Motorola Atrix.

The camera for the iPhone 4S is greatly improved to an 8-megapixel Auto Focus capable of capturing macro shots with 3264 x 2428 resolution photos. Improved photo time and face-detection capability, the new camera also can record 1080p video recording, noise reduction and image stabilization.

Overall, the iPhone 4S is quietly improved in the inside and not in the outside. Are you planning to buy the new iPhone 4S? Tell us what you think about it.

In case you didn’t know, Apple will hold an event entitled “Let’s Talk iPhone” in their Cupertino Headquarters today, October 4th at 10 in the morning. The event is probably focused on the upcoming next generation iPhones, based upon the title.

Surprisingly, Apple announced that it will not be streaming live the event unlike last year’s iPhone launching.

Let’s go more on the possible things that will happen in the event. The most expected “iOS 5” will be launched promising 200+ more features from the iOS 4. This includes the iMessage which is like the BBM of Apple that will surely work on all iDevices. Notifications Center will also be enhanced just like the new Reminders. Another great feature for iOS 5 is the wireless synching of your iPhone or other device into your PC or Mac. Besides these top expected features, more will be unveiled today.

Since the event is merely focused on iPhone, rumors regarding the next generation iPhones will be erased after the event. But most of the news states that there is more than one model to be launched. One is a cheaper, cloud-based iPhone and the other high-end iPhone. Some says iPhone 4S or iPhone 5, whatever the names are, all we know is that the new iPhones will possess a higher resolution camera probably at 8-megapixel and a faster RAM at 1GB.

Recently, Apple has acquired the domain www.iCloudiPhone.com which backs up the idea of having a cloud-based iPhone also known as the cheaper iPhone because it will only hold about 8GB of memory and rely mostly on cloud computing.
