How do you like to use your favorite apps without unlocking your iPhone? You think I’m joking? Here’s an app that makes it real. SlideAway, a new jailbreak tweak, has done a tremendous job in improving iOS’s great features by giving a chance the user to use their favorite apps even if the iPhone is locked.

According to details you can read in Cydia: “SlideAway brings substance to your lockscreen….” Easy customization for the right side and left side shortcuts together with Slide Up Dock by actually sliding up the bar. “Custom Dock” will allow you to choose up to 5 different apps to put them in the dock.

SlideAway is very easy to install. Just launch Cydia and search for it. Purchase the app for $2.99 and download to install.

SMS Signature

Signatures are common when sending an email. But if you find it useful in text messaging service, then here’s a new jailbreak app that can enhance your iPhone’s performance. SMS signature will only work for a jailbroken iPhone since you need to download it through Cydia to install this app.

As simple as “adding a custom signature to text messages”, SMS signature provides a better solution for people sending text messages for marketing or business.

Full Charge Alert

When you are having an iPhone, it’s like your iPhone will do things smoother than what you usually do. Not like other smartphones, iPhone can be modified in the best way to fulfill the users’ needs. One more great app I have recently tried was Full Charge Alert. This app will alarm if your iPhone has finished charging. This is why I really need this app since I usually charge my iPhone while sleeping and unplugged it if I woke up. For $1.95, Full Charge Alert is available through Cydia in the BigBoss repo. Though it is just a little tweak, this is useful for someone like me who always caught my iPhone in the charger. This app can be customized through the Settings app.

FBUploader is a simple and easy application for iPhone that may be included in the coming iOS 5. But as for now, this app will provide a way for users to directly upload the picture taken from iPhone camera roll to Facebook. It’s actually integrating Facebook with the iOS. Basically, you need to open Facebook prior to uploading a certain picture. With FBUploader, you do not need to launch Facebook since it adds an option to the bottom of the OPTIONS menu in the Photos app. You will be able to upload pictures to Facebook easily after you had authenticated through Facebook connect. FBUploader is available through Cydia for $1.99.

Here’s a new version of the social networking app that lets you  keep a track of your special moments and keep a memento by writing them down in the app called Momento. It also helps you to be updated to your pals’ activities on the networks like Flickr, Facebook, Twitter and Last.fm without a hitch.

The Momento version 1.0.2 that can be carried on an iPhone as well and will cost you $2.99. The utility may not be that much as compared to the cost as the apps for the social networking sites it supports are available as freeware. Its a worth for those interested in keeping a nice synopsis of their nice moments and those inquisitive about their own personality development over the time. All you have to do is click a date and enter your thoughts.

This journal app is pretty fast and writing a momento is like a piece of cake. You can either keep these special moments to yourself or share it with others along with the images with ‘post to’ option. The pictures can be exported and imported from the sites.

The search option is quite productive as well. It allows you to retrospect by dates, moments and tags; and helps you save and delete your thoughts promptly. One of the drawbacks is that it does not support the landscape mode and integration in the same format with desktop computers.
