As above Iphone 3G Jailbroke with redsn0w Activated with SAM Software 4.2.1 Baseband 6.15.00 I have done everything I can possibly find to get this working and still it says No Service. Followed many of the threads on here and all sorts. Basically Factory reset the phone so its as standard Used redsn0w to jailbreak 4.2.1 Installed ipad baseband Unlocked with ultrasn0w 1.2.4 I’ve attempted downgrading baseband, still didn’t work. I’ve rejailbroke numerous times. Also tried turning 3G off, airplane mode on and off etc….. Please Help this is really frustrating me I should mention I have rebuilt this phone as the digitzer and plastics were cracked. Thanks, Mike

Depends. The CPU Affinity fix was for when the redsn0w application itself stopped responding and faulted — I’ve experienced the failure listed below with 0.9.6 b1 and b2 and was unable to fix it by setting the CPU Affinity or running in compatibility mode for Windows XP / Vista. It’s definitely worth testing to see, but I tried for so long and was so unsuccessful that I ended up having to use limera1n and then de-hacktivate/re-activate legitimately. Beyond that, this issue was already discussed on several other threads — please search before posting, saves the users and moderators the frustration of answering the same question and ensures there are as few places discussing the same topic so anyone who finds one can be sure they’re getting the latest info. Update #2: Version 0.9.10b7 of redsn0w adds a collection of useful features: It finally implements the corona-A5 jailbreak for iPhone4S and iPad2 devices still at 5.0.1. It can also re-install that jailbreak for those who accidentally uninstalled the untether. When stitching an IPSW, it can now grab your blobs directly from Cydia. It now shows a lot more info about your device (for instance, whether your iPhone3G has the vulnerable baseband boot loader, or whether your iPhone3GS has the old exploitable bootrom. (And the next new feature to be added will be built-in restore support, to provide an alternative to iTunes restores.)
