Please search before posting. This question specifically is asked very regularly. The baseband revision on your device (04.10.01) is not presently able to be soft-unlocked. The only known method to unlock your phone at present are the Gevey SIM solutions, however, we cannot recommend these as they are illegal in nearly every country (due to their reliance on dialing an emergency number to establish signal, even the Pro versions do this, it’s just not a manual process at that point), and also because the Gevey SIM and similar typed unlock solutions will NOT work in iOS 5 — so in a month, your unlock would be useless. As far as not getting your SHSH files, it’s too late to get the older ones, but don’t let that stop you from getting 4.3.5 SHSH. It’s always of value to save your SHSH, so that when iOS 5 comes out — you won’t be stuck.

SAM iPhone Unlock Method Patched By Apple

Until yesterday many iPhone users were really happy as they could easily unlock any iPhone with any baseband running on iOS 5.0 and later using the SAM unlock activation method. But sadly, Apple is very quick enough to patch the loop hole on their servers which means that SAM iPhone unlock method will no longer work! There are Millions of users who had unlocked their iPhones using the SAM unlock method and the little good news is that iPhone users who got their activation tickets earlier can still use them and their iPhone will be unlocked for those carriers.

iphone4 iOS 4.3.5 baseband 04.10.01 can it be unlocked?

You can unlock your phone with the Gevey Ultra sim interposer. The only choice you have to make is whether you want to do a tethered or untethered unlock. First, I would recommend you install/restore via iTunes a fresh copy of iOS 4.3.5 before going about the unlock. Then you have to make a choice: 1) Go for the manual (tethered) unlock where you dial "112" every time you power on the iPhone. The process takes 2-4 minutes depending on how fast you are with the process. THIS DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY FORM OF A JAILBREAK. 2) If you don’t want to do the manual unlock where you dial "112" every time you startup your iPhone, YOU HAVE TO JAILBREAK YOUR iPHONE. With a jailbreak, there is an app that does the unlocking process for you automatically so every time you turn on your iPhone the phone is unlocked and the ROGERS carrier name appears on the top left part of the screen. According to the experts, the jailbreak for iOS 4.3.5 is TETHERED which means you have to be connected to a PC/MAC everytime you turn on the iPhone. Perhaps Olethros can chime in as he is the grandmaster when it comes to this specific subject. Good luck!
